First Just Cuts hairdressing salon in Taiwan now open in Taichung

15 Dec 2021

The largest hairdressing franchise in the southern hemisphere has arrived in Taichung, with local resident Jackson Cheng opening the very first Just Cuts salon in Taiwan last weekend.

Jackson chose to bring the Australian franchise home to Taiwan because he grew up with the brand.

“I grew up in a family of hairdressers, and I’ve known the Just Cuts brand since I was in school,” said Jackson. “I lived in Sydney when I was in high school twenty years ago, and since then I’ve travelled annually to Australia for hair expos. I like that the Just Cuts brand has lasted for over three decades.”

“After I served in the army I started my hairdressing career in Taiwan when I was 22, and I’m so excited to now have the chance to bring Just Cuts to my new local Clients in my Taichung salon.”

“I’ve already had multiple enquiries about working here, and once I’m confident everything is running smoothly I will open another Just Cuts in Taiwan in 2022.”

Performing over 100,000 Style Cuts weekly across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Just Cuts salons use a “no appointments, just walk in” concept and employ only fully qualified Stylists.

“I chose one of the busiest places in Taichung to open my salon – there’s 2 universities and high schools close by, and more than 100,000 people moving through here every day,” said Jackson.

“My salon is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the foot traffic. The Just Cuts Academy provided me and my team of 4 Stylists with all the training, all we have to do is follow the steps.”

Jackson is running a special Grand Opening offer for his Clients, with all Style Cuts priced at $250 for the next 6 weeks, before increasing to the regular price of $350.

“We had 40 Clients waiting to come in for their first Style Cut on opening day,” said Jackson.

“No appointments is a new concept in this market. Clients can also use our Just Cuts app to check into the salon queue from up to 15km away and reserve a spot on the day they would like to visit.”

“The most popular Style Cut for men is a fade and with winter here, women are choosing longer Styles with some curls.”

Jackson aims to grow the Just Cuts brand in Taiwan through excellent customer service.

“Please come visit us at Just Cuts Taichung, I look forward to meeting everyone in salon and my team can’t wait to help Taichung residents look and feel their very best.”
