JustCuts Franchising - JC Brand History

JC Brand History

In 1982 Denis McFadden had to wait 6 months to vacate a lease he no longer needed as he had already moved his existing salon to new premises. To keep things simple and different, he decided to hold a promotion offering a ‘no appointment, $6 Style Cut for all Clients. The response was outstanding  and the idea of Just Cuts was born.

In 1983 the first Just Cuts salon opened its doors to the public and in 1990, the first Just Cuts Franchise opened at Engadine in Sydney’s southern suburbs; a salon that is still successfully owned by the first ever Just Cuts franchisee.

In 2017 Just Cuts ushered in a new era, building a state of the art warehouse and international distribution centre in Caringbah, NSW to support the 40% year-on-year growth of the JUSTICE Professional range, Just Cuts' exclusive range of professional haircare and styling products.

Today, Just Cuts continues to keep the focus on making things easy for Stylists, Owners and Clients. With big things planned for continued international growth and innovation, Just Cuts is a brand that, just like hair, continues to grow.

Over 30 years Just Cuts has grown to 220+ salons across Australia, New Zealand and now the United Kingdom. 43% of franchisees are successful multi salon owners. The network includes over 3,500 qualified Stylists and serves 100,000+ Clients per week.
