Just Cuts Nelson salon sees over 60 Clients on Grand Opening day

Just Cuts Nelson at Richmond Mall opened on Thursday and saw 64 new Clients walk in for a Style Cut.

Franchise Owner Sam Singh celebrated the day with a ribbon cutting at 9am with his team of Stylists, Tasman District Mayor Tim King and Justine the Just Cuts Super Stylist.

Sam thanked his new Nelson Clients for their strong support on his Grand Opening Day.

“I was overwhelmed to see so many people, I didn’t stop smiling all day” said Sam. “Opening a small business is like having a baby, it’s a mix of relief and joy for me now.”

Sam said his Grand Opening was a team effort because of COVID-19.

“Due to COVID restrictions and the snap shutdown of the Trans-Tasman travel bubble, the Just Cuts Operations Team couldn’t make the trip from Australia to Nelson to join me on Thursday,” said Sam.

“We prepared for everything in advance virtually using Zoom, including Stylist training, salon setup and management training. Even though I felt ready, I was still nervous on the morning.”

“I’m incredibly grateful that Angela Turner, Franchise Owner of Just Cuts Hornby and Just Cuts NZ Franchise Advisory Council Member, was kindly able to travel to Nelson and lend a helping hand on my Grand Opening Day – her support was immense .”

“I’m glad to have access to such a strong peer support network in the Just Cuts franchise family.”

Sam is running a special offer for his first six weeks in business for Just Cuts Nelson Clients, and is on the lookout for Nelson hairdressers to add to his team of fully qualified Stylists.

“We’re a chemical free salon where Stylists cut one Client at a time, so you focus on your craft and building a rapport with whoever sits in your styling chair - which is what hairdressing is all about.”
