Just Cuts Kotara Achieves 40% Growth Under New Owners Darren and Ryan

21 Jul 2025

MEDIA RELEASE:

Just Cuts Kotara Reports almost 50% Growth in Just Months Under New Local Owners

Just Cuts Kotara is celebrating an impressive growth in revenue of almost 50% since new Franchise Owners Darren and Ryan took over the reins in early May. The remarkable result has been achieved in just a few months thanks to the owners’ hands-on leadership and support from the local community.

From day one, Darren and Ryan have made the trip from Sydney to Newcastle every weekend to work alongside their stylists, whether at reception or sweeping the floor, learning the business from the inside out and helping set a strong foundation for future success.

“We’re so proud of what the team has achieved in such a short time,” said Darren. “Their energy, talent, and customer focus are the heart of this success, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.”

“We also want to thank the Kotara community,” added Ryan. “Locals have really embraced the Salon, taking full advantage of our convenient, no-appointment, fixed-price service. It’s affordable, quality haircare is something families here really value.”

In addition to their hands-on involvement, Darren and Ryan implemented smart marketing strategies to build local awareness, introduced add-on service initiatives to boost average customer spend and launched staff incentive programs to drive performance.

Key Results:

· Almost 50% revenue growth vs same period last year

· Average spend increased from $38.90 to $45.91

· Team sales incentives and recognition programs introduced

· Effective local area marketing to attract new clients

· Customer experience focus through convenience, affordability, and quality

Located at Shop 2082, Level 2, Westfield Kotara, Just Cuts is known for its professional Style Cuts for all ages, with no appointments necessary and a fixed price that makes budgeting easy for families.

“This is just the beginning,” Darren said. “We’re excited to keep building on this momentum and continuing to serve the Kotara community with great haircuts and service.”
