Just Cuts Northlands celebrates two decades of small business success with a new salon

06 Nov 2023

Marshlands resident Anjum Primuswala is celebrating 20 years of styling Christchurch by giving her team of Stylists, local Clients and Just Cuts Northlands salon a new makeover.

Anjum and her team of 11 Stylists are excited to unveil the new look salon next Monday November 13.

“We’ve ripped everything out and we’ve refurbished every element - from levelling out the floor to give wheelchairs easier access to reupholstering all our styling chairs,” said Anjum.

“My team have been waiting for this– I’m doing this for them. They are particularly  looking forward to opening as we will have another basin for hair washing and 8 styling chairs.”

Anjum also owns Just Cuts Riccarton and The Palms in Christchurch, and says her keys to success are convenience and great value.

“Just Cuts just does it better,” said Anjum. “You can go to the supermarket and squeeze in a new Style Cut in a reasonable amount of time. We’re at a affordable price point where Clients can stick to their style and their budget. We have Clients who’ve relied on us since we’ve been open and Stylists who’ve been looking after them for years.”

“We take care of the whole family. There’s such a wide range of ages we look after as older kids come in after school and grandparents bring their grandkids along, and they both get their hair done.”

Anjum says top Christchurch styles for spring vary for men and women.

“Mullets are big for men because of the Rugby World Cup, and women are choosing curtain bangs with a wavy look to channel beach vibes as the weather warms up.”

“Events like Halloween, Christchurch Show Day and Show Week kick off the busiest time of year for my salon. The Just Cuts app works really well here because Clients can check into the salon online and receive a text from us when it’s almost time for their Style Cut.”

Anjum is offering free goodie bags to her first 50 Clients on grand opening day, and all Clients who visit for a Style Cut during the first week go into the draw to win a $500 ‘Prezzy’ Gift Card plus a JUSTICE Haircare product Hamper.

“I’m so excited to reopen and welcome everyone into my brand new Just Cuts Northlands salon.”
